My Story
Prior to my profession in marketing, I spent 10 years as a Mental Health Professional. In 2011, I approached the nonprofit I worked at and asked to restart their Development Office. My proposal was approved, and I directed the Marketing and Development office for 2 years. In 2013, I started my own Content and Influencer Company as I wanted to make the transfer into a full-time marketing position. But no one wanted to hire a Mental Health Professional for a marketing position, so I went back to school to get my MBA in marketing.

In 2015, I graduated with an MBA in marketing. In 2016, I moved from MN to LA to become the Brand Ambassador and Marketing Manager for a fashion company in Los Angeles, CA. Shortly after, we gained another fashion brand and I helped relaunch that brand. In that position I focused on email marketing, influencer programs, photoshoots, social media calendar, website UI/UX improvements, product descriptions, blogging, and hosted LIVE shopping. In 2017, I left that fashion company to help launch a new fashion company. A Chinese conglomerate hired me to bring an influencer fashion line to market. They hired me as their sole US contractor and tasked with Operations and Marketing responsibilities, including setting up their Shopify website, email automation, social media management, social media ads, 3PL/AWS logistics, customer service, product shots, influencer program, etc. We debuted at NY Fashion week in 2018, yet shortly after, the company pulled operations back to China.

In 2019, I worked for an agency in LA and was hired as the Social Media Manager for a Celebrity Lifestyle Brand. I also helped with their EDU program that taught small businesses how to market on their own. I created branding documents, editorial calendars, social media campaigns and course materials on Kajabi. In 2020, my family and I moved back to WI to be closer to family. March 2020, I started work at Tuna Traffic Digital Marketing Agency as a Copywriter and quickly moved into a Direct Product Leader position. As a DPL, I managed anywhere from 5 to 10 different accounts and managed strategy across all channels. I created strategy for a new continued learning company and set their curriculum up on Thinkific. I also managed website redesign, email marketing campaigns, social media campaigns, landing page creations, SEO optimization and Google Search Ads.
Throughout my career I’ve managed a freelance clients on the side, so it made sense in February 2022 to leave Tuna Traffic and go full-time contractor. Since then, I’ve been hired by numerous companies as their Marketing Manager. If you are interested in learning more about working with me, please reach out.
